• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Chilly temps ahead - No riding this weekend :( :)

Blizzard warning here in NW Iowa. Sub zero lows and single digit highs for the next several days, so no riding here also.

Up to 1/2" or more ice expected here Saturday and Sunday. But today it is supposed to get to 60°. I am actually looking into riding down 64 towards Siler City to greet the Monks on their "walk for peace" from Texas to DC. Seems like a good cause, and I would like to say I saw it. Although they will be passing through my town (Apex) on their way to Raleigh, I don't want to deal with the crowds there and would rather observe them on a more private part of the trip.

A 1/2" of ice? That's not good!

Gonna be some power outages with that much weight on the lines and with tree limbs falling on the wires.

Here in East Texas it will be will be in the 60's with sun today. I am taking the Canyon out for groceries later. However, we are looking at a Winter storm with freezing rain and the temperature never rising above freezing from Friday night through Tuesday morning. That might not impress someone in the MidWest, but it is a big deal here. The Canyon and I will be staying home with the generator prepared in case the ice storm brings down the power lines.

No riding for me either this weekend, due to dangerous cold weather, they are forecasting Arctic Cold weather with dangerously cold wind chill factor which will be -10 to -20 degrees. Plus, my Spyder is hibernation until Spring!

Also, heading into next week, they are watching another snowy system which will start Sunday night and continuing into the day on Monday. Not sure how much snow we will get in my area (this snow is good for the out door activities, but no snowmobiling for me this weekend due the Arctic air, I hope to do some snowmobiling the following weekend. The snowmobiling season here in Vermont is quite short).

Everyone Stay Safe, and Warm next to your neighbors, family, and friends; be sure you have heat, power, food, charge your cell phones, fill your vehicles with gas, etc.

Deanna
