• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Broken top box arm and tight seat spacers on a 2016 RT Limited - any ideas/assist?

New to me 2016 RT Limited - the right arm on the rear top box lid is broken. Diagrams aren't clear to me,
seems like a fix for me would be a good epoxy and then drill and pin it, or epoxy a strip on the edge, See pic....

When removing the seat, those spacers for the rear bolt seem a little tight, could make re-install fun.
Thinking on filing the length for easier install - anybody done this??

Thanks for any assist, really like, and use forums

This is just a long shot, but maybe if you can go to a dealer, they can find a replacement part for that hinge! I just tried to look it up and the break down picture isn't really clear on how that breaks down! I have had good luck repairing tabs and what not with JB weld in the past, they make all kinds of different products for different applications!!!! Good luck any way!! (y) (y)

a better look tells me that the arm IS part of the inner cover.... just me and the interwebs, no CANAM dealer for a couple hundred miles....
going for the Epoxy and melt in a couple hot wires as well.
- Thanx

I believe the arms are part of the inner cover, part number 708300678. $89.99

A better image.

The outer cover is easy to remove, with 6 torx screws inside, giving you a much better view of the arms.

Does the outer cover have a storage rack on it????
yea had another look this AM.... saw arm WAS part of the inner cover. Think I'll go for the epoxy and a couple of hot wire stitches as well.
yes, it doe have the rack on the outside.... looks like the break was caused by trying to raise the lid too far??
think I'll change the strut while I'm at it.
- Thanx
