Your Weather News @ July Edition 2025

Here in Vermont, we have another sunny day. There were some areas of fog this morning, but as the fog cleared off we have plenty of blue skies and sun. However, today will be getting a bit warmer than yesterday. Highs today will be climbing into the low mid-80's.

The warming trend continues for tomorrow and the heat and humidity returns. Highs in the will be reaching into the low 90's again with dew points back into the upper 60's and low 70's. This means it will feel like temperatures are in the mid to upper 90's.

Then the humidity sticks around for Friday, and that's when we'll be seeing showers and thunderstorms again. It looks like we'll start to see some showers rolling through early Friday, and the showers and thunderstorms will continue through the afternoon.

With the afternoon thunderstorms, a few isolated storms could be on the stronger side. There is a chance for some heavy downpours with up to 1" of rain or strong wind gusts. But most of the shower and storm activity will come to an end Friday evening with just a few light, lingering showers possible after 6PM (EST).

Then over the weekend, things will be pretty nice. It looks we can expect a good amount of sunshine both Saturday and Sunday, with highs in the mid-80's. But there is a slight chance for a shower or storm on Sunday.

Then Monday, the highs will be back in the upper 80's with a good amount of sunshine. Highs will stay in the upper 80's for Tuesday, but that's also when we could see another round of showers and thunderstorms.

The current temp is 78 degrees and blue skies, sunny.

Well today is going to be a crazy hot day. 93°F with a 'heat index' of 108°F. Currently clear sky at 75°F.
Humidity is 93%. This makes for a John Wayne movie day. Indiana is under a 'Heat Advisory" today.

H8gh 93°F with lots of sunshine.
Low at 75°F with heat.

Stay Hydrated and use your AC.
High temperatures are always a serious problem for us older people.

Have yourself a Blessed Day Everyone. (y)

Today and the next 8 days are in the middle and upper 90's.

A large area is under the heat advisory!!!
And here in the Southern parts of Oz, basically right across the country, we're looking forward to the next 10 days or so of solid rain, possible floods, sub-zero lows, and max temps struggling to get out of single digits in °C... :cautious: Oh, and 'Strong to Gale force winds' right across too!! 😖

Here's the high/low temperatures at my house in the Arid-Zone-A desert for the next week..... 103/75, 103/80, 103/81, 105/84, 106/85, 104/86, 103/83. Glad I'm not there. 70 and sunny here at my little vacation cottage in Anacortes, WA. Heading down to the seashore (it's about 4 blocks away), find a quiet place, and shine up my little blue pony. Stay safe..... Jim

Hello Jim, are you thinking about moving to Washington?
The temperatures in WA sure sound good. Way to far from Indiana for me and my family.

Friday Morning Special, just had a 5 minute rain shower this morning. Yes, just enough to get everything wet and raise the humidity. Life is good for now.

Currently 77°F with 98% humidity 😫
Suppose to be a cloudy day here.
Very early morning yesterday I was able to get the grass cut. It was doable with my riding mower.

Today is going to be a rainy day.
High of 86°F with some afternoon showers.
Low at 73°F with a chance of evening showers.

Till Next Time my Spyder Friends. (y)

Hello Jim, are you thinking about moving to Washington?
The temperatures in WA sure sound good. Way to far from Indiana for me and my family.
I lived in Washington until I retired 21 years ago. Then I snow birded for 10 years until I sold my boat that was my summer home. Since then, I did road trips back here on my bike(s) for a month or so to see friends and family and get out of the desert heat. This year i decided to spend more time in the N.W. I'd live here again except for 3 things. The cost of living is astronomical compared to Arizona. The political climate and I no longer agree. And, the long gray and wet winters get depressing. Arizona is great for activities and weather for 8+ months of the year. Then it gets HOT. Ideally, I would do the snow bird thing again but it does create expense that eats my retirement income faster than I can sustain......

Anacortes, WA currently 60 degrees, partly sunny, breeze at 7 MPH, humidity of 84%. The high today will be 68 and the overnight low will be 52. There is no rain in the forecast. Stay safe..... Jim

South Louisville ATM is 94 degrees at 60% humidity with very little wind. Expected to get higher yet...

No rain until maybe tomorrow? Ohio valley is a toss up....

No riding, need to do grass cutting this evening....

Here in Vermont, we had rain this morning. It is currently cloudy and 71 degrees. It is currently warm and humid. The temps are in the 70's with dew points in the upper 60's and low 70's. At least the showers will be tapering off later this morning, but then we could see a few isolated thunderstorms this afternoon.
Some of us will start to see some sunshine peeking out from behind the clouds early in the afternoon but a few isolated areas could see some pop-up thunderstorms. Anywhere that does have thunderstorms this afternoon will dry out by early evening.

Then behind the showers and storms things will be cooler and less humid but we're also going to be seeing wildfire smoke moving back into the region. Northern areas will be seeing the smoke return this evening creating a hazy conditions through the evening and potentially reducing air quality.

The smoke will be spreading south overnight and most of us will be waking up to thick smoke tomorrow morning. We are expecting this to reduce our air quality to levels that are considered unhealthy for sensitive groups. The means that children, older people , and anyone with heart or lung conditions show limit time spent outdoors and limit intense activities, especially intense outdoor activities.

The thick smoke looks like it will linger through Saturday and then starts to clear up for Sunday. That little bit of clearing is thanks to a system bringing us scattered showers Sunday morning. Showers are possible across the region but are more likely across southern Vermont. Highs this weekend will be in the 80's.
Then unfortunately it does look like we will continue to see at least light amounts of the smoke into next week. Which means that Monday will be an other hot and humid, hazy day Highs will be in the 90's.

By Wednesday we'll be seeing highs back in the 70's, thanks to a system bringing a chance for thunderstorms on Tuesday afternoon. And that system will also hopefully help the smoke clear out of the area.
