Has anyone else noticed excessive Right side front tire wear?

Looking at my right front tire with ~12K miles, I was thinking I need an alignment. However, my wife reminded me that we ride MANY rural 2-lane paved roads. These roads are usually crowned. That would seem to put significantly more pressure on the right side of the right front tire causing this uneven wear. Does that make sense? Has anyone else noticed this? (And... is my wife correct... this time? )

Your wife could be right. But I ride on rural roads and never noticed that kind of wear. I'm sure someone else that knows more about Spyder alignment will have a better idea of what is causing the wear.

I had wear like this on one of my front tires on my 2011 RT. Had front end aligned 10K miles ago and tire is still good, the wear did not get any worse. By the way mine was also the right front.

See a Rolo laser alignment service, and have it checked. It’s probably out a bit.

Sounds like an alignment service would be a good idea. I just had new tires mounted. So this is probably a good time to have an alignment done.

Yep, you are toed-out all right. It's easy to check. Measure the distance between the tires on the front and on the back side. Getting a true measurement on the back sides can be frustrating, but it's doable. Check with BajaRon or Squared Away on the exact measurements. I believe toe-in should be around 1/4 or 1/8 inch. I was out on one side by 2 inches! So much for dealer prep, huh?

Check the jam nuts on your tie rods.

You may get some uneven tire wear from highly crowned roads. But it should never be this severe. What does the other tire look like? A good alignment should resolve this.

You're probably right. When we lived in TN, I wore out the sides on a 2-wheeler riding twisties most of the time and to work everyday. But seems less likely on the spyder.
