For those who may not yet have noticed from the variety of answers and posts on this subject,
every Spyder can be
juuust a little bit different in their construction, the room under their fenders/in their wheel arches for different sized tires, and in their individual speedo/odo error;
plus, there's differences in the
actual size of tires vs the nominal size printed on their sidewall, not just between different
brands of tires, but also between similar sizes and types of tires from the same manufacturer;
and then there's also the differences in sizes that the tire pressure a given tire may be running at vs any other tire/its tire pressure, &/or the ambient temps/variations in both the tire pressures and sizes that can bring...
Each of these individual differences may
seem to be quite small, but when you add them all up for a given Spyder/set of circumstances and realise that the total difference between
YOUR Spyder &/or the tire size it's running may be somewhat different
IN TOTAL to that of any other Spyder, it should become clear that there is
REALLY NO ONE DEFINITIVE ANSWER to the OP's original question -
"What size tire is needed to correct the speedo???" any of the answers given above
might come close, but if any of the possible differences mentioned are small enough
OR large enough, they juuust might not apply in the OP's particular/specific set of circumstances, so as always...
