I have similar going on. I have my Spyder 2024 RT-L linked up from a wire in the frunk to an optimizer although it doesn't seem to display as much as when on motorbikes? Maybe see like you say take battery out? I guess it's just under that plastic zipper cover? Also you say update of the display - are you doing that via wifi ? Is it easy to do? I may do mine too.Hrmmm... I've had my Spyder parked in the garage since mid October with the parking brake on. I'm going to power it up this weekend to update the display, maybe I'll turn off the parking brake. I never thought about it, but keeping the pull on that cable for an extended time might not be the best thing for it.
I haven't done the update yet. The email I received has a link to a how-to page. It looks simple enough. It includes instructions for connecting the Spyder to Wi-Fi.I have similar going on. Newbee question here: I think my RTL beeps profusely if I don't set up the parking brake after I turn the ignition off...
Yeap, thank you, that was my question, I never waited for it to beep 15 times, my patience is not that greatAnd your question is?
Does your RTL beep profusely if you turn it off without setting the parking brake? Yes, it does.
If it's like my F3, it beeps exactly 15 times and then shuts up.
It's just routine. The alarm is loud inside the garage though.Yeap, thank you, that was my question, I never waited for it to beep 15 times, my patience is not that great![]()
I released my parking brake and did the display software update tonight. As requested, here are some observations.OK sounds good. Can you keep me updated pls? I will do a youtube video on my channel when I do mine.
My Winter Storage is rather simple. Fresh Gas, Pull the Batt. Park in Neutral/No Parking Brake and roll the wheels onto old carpet scraps. I also add Moth Crystals under the full cover to keep the rodents from moving in. Sleeps all winter and ready to wake up in the Spring!

"The strong scent of peppermint is overwhelming to mice. Similarly, essential oils such as eucalyptus oil, bergamot oil, clove oil, and cinnamon oil are potent in keeping mice at bay. One study noted that eucalyptus oil applied once a day was more effective as a rat repellent than once a week."
If you're going to let it sit all summer without riding it, I see the point of putting it on a tender, but if you ride it you don't need to use it, just ride! Mine only sees a tender in the wintertime.Whenever it's parked in your garage, it should be on a battery tender. It'll always start if it is.
I have to leave the parking brake engaged on my 2018 Spyder RT Limited SE-6 or it electronically screams very loudly after I stop the engine and turn the key to the off position. John G. I've never had any issues leaving the parking brake engaged for a few weeks.I was just wondering if anyone leaves the parking brake off while their Spyder is put up for an extended time. Pros/cons of leaving it off.
