I enjoy them when I type. You can also sweep your cursor across the ornaments at the top of the page to get them to ring. But if you don't like them, just turn your speaker off (or down) and they will go away.

At my age, Ron, if I turn my speakers down, I immediately forget I have done that, and when I next pick up my iPad, I spend 10 minutes trying to work out why I no longer have any sound from my iPad
