• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does a recall stay with the machine regardless of who owns it?

In reference to the output shaft recall, this would affect my decision, as I'm looking to buy from the same year range. I've always understood that a recall is for safety issues, therefore it stays with the machine. If it does, this won't affect my decision one bit...

Yes, once the recall work has been done it stays with the bike.

And if you buy a bike that is affected by a recall, but the recall work has not yet been done, as the new owner you are eligible to have the work done.

Caveat: I'm in the US and recalls in other countries may be handled differently.

The same thing applies in Australia.

Just be sure to register your pre-owned Spyder with BRP under you. This way, you will get future notifications.

How does one do this? Do I have to go through the dealer, or can I accomplish this myself? The BRP VIN lookup page for recalls doesn't even recognize my VIN.

Simply call the dealer service department and they'll take care of it.

Is there a process which allows us to recall a person? I've got a few in mind!

There is at least one way...

But the authorities in most counties do frown upon it!

Here's a hint as to how - Sign on a Farm Gate:

Please
STOP TRESPASSING!

I'm getting sick of
hiding the bodies...

They'll get permanently Recalled, and Returned to Sender! :lecturef_smilie:

Just started watching a Netflix series, Territory. About Australian cattle ranchers. Makes it look like the wild west is alive and kicking down under :)

Yeah, it's a movie - we don't have ANY 'cattle ranchers' here in Oz. Nor do we have people who often say 'crikey', except maybe when they're taking the p*** outta.... Ooops, almost let that secret out! :opps:

But we do have places where things can be a little 'wild', even in the good times! And I'm not gonna tell you about the 'great times', cos I'd get into deeeep :ohyea:
