• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Saddle Bag Problem, Again.

Getting the bike ready for a trip, right side saddle bag won't open. Dealer replaced cable and handle on the left two years ago RPM warranty. Leaving for our trip four days. Tried several times to adjust the cable. Both in and out. What a job trying to get to it! Called the dealer, said bring it in right away. It was almost 5pm, said I will be there first thing in the morning. They are an hour away. Got the bag open by removing the top panel and using screw driver to move the lever. Got to the dealer at opening. Went home. The called at 10am, the cable and handle need to be replaced, we have everything in stock as we do quite a few. $150 parts, $240 labor plus tax and shop supplies. Over $400 total to do the job. I said fine do it. Got a call at 4pm, the were able to get it covered again by my RPM Warranty, in full! Bike is ready for pick up. Good dealers are hard to find. :firstplace: This is the fourth time I have used the extended warranty. Tom :spyder:

It is a breath of fresh air to hear someone have a good visit to the dealership!! They're not all bad, and sometimes you need their help if you don't have the right tools. Have fun on your trip!!!

I hope the hurricane didn't destroy the area and they still have the rally. Tom :spyder:
Me, too.

The forecast is showing it will be dry for the rally, although I may have to ride through some rain on Tuesday.

Normally weather is great after one of these storms pass. The issue will be road washouts and rockslides. Canton had quite a few road closures a couple of years ago. A friend of mine has property up in Hendersonville and she said they have 15.5" of rain so far and it is really coming down still. We decided to skip the rally this year and go 10/16-20 in order to see a little better leaf color. This time is great for above 5,000', but not a lot below that.

As for the latch and handle, I had one replaced under warranty, and the second one I had serviced last week. I was told that the original warranty covers it, but not the extended warranty. You definitely have a good dealer to work with you.

Good luck next week at the Rally.
