There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. When, if ever, was a belt dampener factory-installed on F3?

Every time I read about this I seem to find various answers. My dealer doesn't have a for certain answer. (I know aftermarket products have long been available and we've installed them)
Our 2024 F3T does not have one. I'm also aware of the swingarm change (RT style) in more recent models. Has BRP decided the pulley is no longer needed? Has BRP made a change wherein the vibration is no longer there? (maybe a new swingarm, or a smaller rear sprocket with a shorter belt?) I'd really like to learn which models and which years had a factory dampener (not dealer installed).

There is very likely NO 'for certain' answer to that question; as you've already noticed, and we've all found out thru the many threads already on the Forum discussing them!! You just never know 'for sure!'

Some of a particular Model/Year Spyders may have them; yet others of the same Model/Year Spyders clearly don't have them from the factory; and your guess is as good as anyone else's as to which it might be!! :dontknow: I reckon that whether any particular Model/Year Spyder got a factory fitted belt dampener may have depended very much upon whether that particular parts bin actually had any belt dampeners in it or if it was empty as any particular Spyder rolled past it on the production line!! :gaah:

So don't risk your money betting on it, cos there's no 'for sure' answer, even if there might be a few model/year Spyders where you can say that 'most of these do have factory belt dampeners!' :lecturef_smilie:

Stop wondering and worrying if your bike should have one and don't. You are going to get all kinds of different ideas on this subject, if your bike has a vibration, you cannot live with, and it bothers you then put one on. But make sure you keep an eye on it, because it will be a wear item that can get you stranded if you don't!

My 2019 F3-S came from the factory with a belt damper. I picked it up the day after the dealership uncrated it and assembled it. Had one on it then.

Both my 2019 F3S and 2022 RT S2S had/has them as OEM.

22 F3S (Canadian version) came with the factory damper.

My 2021 F3T did not come with one, it doesn't have one currently..
However there is a broken screw in one of the holes. Maybe they broke a screw off during set-up and said the heck with it...lol

The previous owner only put 172 miles on it before she sold it to me 5 months after she bought it. I don't think she did it. I just noticed it a couple of weeks ago...
