• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Memorial Day

Thank you Mike for the reminder. I always visit my Dad on memorial day. He was a WWII Navy veteran. I remember that not only is he my Father, but he helped save the world for freedom.

Dad; Army Air Force aircraft mechanic, Pacific Theater. Granddad; Navy CB's, Pacific Theater.

Dad, WWII and Korea. Had 10 years in. Made it all the way up to Acting First Sargent. I did 10 years N.Y. National Guard. Made it to E-5. Trained in "NIKE HERCULES" missiles. Loved it. Tom :spyder:

Grandfather served on a minesweeper in the North Sea, WWI.
Dad served on the USS Midway in the Korean War.
Both brothers served in Germany during the Vietnam War.
Several friends went to Vietnam right out of High School. One did 3 tours as a Paratrooper. Most came back. Some didn't. But the ones that did were never the same.

I fear, even after all of this sacrifice, that our country is in greater danger now than it has ever been. Freedom is only for the brave.

I come from a family of patriots. Father was WWII Army Vet, one brother is an Air Force vet, 4 brothers are Army vets, one of whom was an Army Medic. He was KIA in Vietnam while attempting to rescue a fallen soldier. Memorial Day will always be special in our family.
