• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I need more storage space

That's what I thought anyway
So there I was cleaning my F3S, and I had removed the Shad bags to gain more access to areas hard to get to
I finished up, and decided to go for a ride. I wasn't in a hurry, but I got suited up and decided I needed to carry a ball cap with me. So I'm looking at the spyder trying to figure out where to put it. In haste I smashed the cap inside the rear seat cowl compartment. When I got to my destination I pulled the squashed ballcap out, and then I realized I had a Frunk I could have used. Lol. I guess I'm still used to 2 wheelers that dont have a large compartment to stash stuff. Some days are just weird I guess. ; -)>

My USCG (1965-1969 ET1 Vietnam Vet) vets hat goes in the top case of my 2018's along with tools and jacket liner and inter jacket when I think it is going to be cold. Lady friends that ride with me put their "stuff" bags in there also. "Semper Paratus"

:hun::popcorn::dontknow: Ain’t done that one, previous experience before onboard storage was usually tuck cap in front of shirt, or sit on it

Hi Dasmoetorhead,

I have a 2023 F3LTD Special Series, I put my cap/gloves and other items in my trunk( the trunk has enough room to store a power pack, helmet, and other items).

At times I still don't have enough room, I just have too much stuff on my spyder.

There is an old saying---

"You can't take everything you want with you on a bike, but you can take everything you need."

Ya'll missed the joke, I guess? I have a ton of storage on the F3S - Shadbags, frunk, and under the seat cowl.

Before the ride, my bags were on the shelf in the shop. I forgot about the frunk storage, thinking I was still riding a 2-wheeler with little storage. I was just in a rush and afterwards, I was laughing at myself. I really don't think I even need the Shad bags for my style of riding, but while I had 2 months of idle time waiting for my Spyder to be assembled, I bought all the gear I thought I might need. My Wife said she might go for a ride someday, so I bought all the gear needed for her also. Now she doesn't want to go, and that's fine with me. I prefer to ride solo. I'm considering removing the Shad bag brackets and passenger hand grips, stripping it down if you will?!

I have removed the two up seat and footrests but have left the hand holds and shad brackets on in case I go for a several day ride. The hand hold brackets can be used for lashing something down over the rear seat cowl with a bungee cord if necessary. Less is more in most cases.
