• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does changing the HCM filter need BUDS or No BUDS?

Next change will be HCM filter.
The job is pretty straight forwarded.
Now do you need BUDS, yes or no?
If not, what is the procedure to purge/eliminate the bubbles.
Or do you leave it for the BRP shop?
I'm in SC Wisconsin if anybody has BUDs.

To get the bubbles out.
Idle for a certain time.
Shift to 1st then reverse
Anything I should know?

Twice, at 56K and 84K miles I just changed the oil filter and HCM filter, backed out of the garage and took a short test ride, nothing more. Both times everything worked fine; B.U.D.S. not needed.

No, you do not need BUDS. I would be surprised, actually shocked, if any dealers use BUDS for an HCM filter change. They might charge you for it. But do it? I don't think so. No reason. Waste of time. I just recommend riding for a few miles before checking oil fil level to be sure everything has evened out.

I live in Edgerton…. I have BUDS

Put a few thou (3,000k or so) on my F3 since I swapped out that HCM filter along with the oil filter , along with new engine oil.

Musta got lucky - still running fine - no codes popping up. So far so good I guess.
