Good afternoon, what does everyone with the gray matte finish use to keep it looking good. I got some Flitz Flat/Matte Finish Cleaner when I got the bike and I'm running out. Also what to use on the black flat plastic trim.
Thanks, Mike

Microfiber cloth and water. I used a spray bottle for the water and rolled around the bike on a wheeled mechanics stool. Easy and inexpensive. I believe there is a warning under the frunk lid telling you not to use waxes or cleaners on your matte finish..... Jim

I used Maguiars Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer on my 2008 GS. It did a great job on certain parts - the back rest, the mud flaps...but didn't do so well on some of the other black matte finish plastic - the dash, the passenger grip bars. It seems that not all the black matte finish parts are the same plastic make-up. Has anyone else found this? What do you all use on these other areas, like the dash, grip bars, plastic covers over the steering arms? Thank you for your input!

Chemical Guys SPI_995_16 Meticulous Matte Detailer and Spray Sealant, 16 oz, Orange, available on Amazon.
This stuff works great on my tri-black 2016 F3L

I use Nu-Finish on the painted white bits and original Armor-All on everything else. Spray a little on a rag and wipe on.

So the original owner of my RT used spray wax on the matte finish and the black plastic.:banghead: I have washed the trike a number of times but I can still see waxy build up on the frunk lid and a few other areas. Any advice on how to get this off. Also the black plastic is almost always grey because of this wax. I was thinking of getting it clean and then using a Cerrakote ceramic coating to keep it looking nice and clean. I am looking for any hints on how to get the bike looking better and keeping it that way.

Well, ammonia is known to cut floor wax. Try a little spot to see how it comes out. We use Mother's Back to Black on the matte black and original Armor All on the shiny black.

Brain,

I use Chemical Guys Auto Wash for Satin-Matte finish (I have a 2023 F3 LTD Special that has a matte finish), Waterless Carwash (to wash the bike after I have gone on a ride), and Black Diamond Matte Magic Detailer from Lamonster Garage. Also, I use Chemical Guys Jet Seal Matte - Sealer + protectant which provides up to 12 months of protection.

Sorry I couldn't help you on how to get rid of the spray wax on from the original owner. Good luck!

I recently purchased a second Spyder F3-S with a black matte paint finish. I regularly detail my Porsche cars, and current Spyder with a multitude of cleaning and detailing products.
That said, I am look for the best products to clean and detail my new Spyder which has matte paint.
What are any other members utilizing to clean and detail their matte finish rides?

After some time with Google, I ended up ordering some Meticulous Matte products from the Chemical Guys website.
One bottle is an auto wash product and the other is a detailer and sealant, both of which are specifically designed for matte finish paints.

I would avoid any power polisher or buffer tools, and do everything by hand so as not to ruin the finish.

The caveat is that I haven't had my Spyder long enough for it to need washing, so I haven't used either product yet. :D
