Evoluzione Sway Bar

Installed the Evoluzione performance sway bar today. Must wait until spring to try it though.
The original sway bar has two clamps that sit on either side of the frame sway bar brackets. They prevent the sway bar from moving sideways.
There is no mention of reusing them on the new sway bar. Does anyone know if they should be transferred over to the new bar or not?

Absolutely on the metal clamps... re-use them. The plastic bushings from the original can be stored... not used. Use the provided bushings.

The new one fits up just like stock... except for the new plastic bushings.

Use the holes on the extreme ends of the new bar for a softer assist... the inner holes for a stiffer assist.

Maybe I should take a picture. The metal clamps that fit over the bushings must be used again. I agree. The two clamps on either side of the metal clamps are the issue. They only clamp around the bar as if to stop it from sliding left to right or right to left. Since the new bar has a kink in the middle I don't think it will move.

You don't need the stock bushings - the new bar is designed to be used without them.

I know exactly what you are talking about; Not the bushings but the clamps that set outside the bushings on the stock bar. I tried to install these on the performance bar and they wouldn't fit so I just stored them--Guess they aren't required with the new bar.:dontknow: Mine seems to be just fine without them.nojoke

That's good to know. I installed the sway bar a few weeks ago also and haven't had a chance to try it. I was wondering about the little clamps as well. Didn't install then but have been wondering if I should. Now I know. thanks:thumbup:

Hmmmm, I have had mine installed for over a year. I used the stock clamps and bushings. My bar did not come with anything other than the bar itself. Anyone see a problem with using the stock bushings?

The performance sway bar has a larger diameter---Don't know how you got the stock bushings to fit. My sway bar came with new larger bushings.:dontknow:

They were a bit snug as I remember but just torqued them down and seems OK. Going to call Ken and see what he recommends.
