• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. For those of you who are looking for or waiting on the 2020+ RT passenger arm rests from Can Am it appears that the wait is over.

I received a call today from my dealer that my passenger arm rests that have been on order since last April finally came in today.
The original part number 219400958 has been obsoleted and a new part number has been assigned which is 219401181, so if you have the original part number on order you might want to have your dealer order the new number.

As like most everything else from Can Am they are filling customer orders first and then dealer stock orders.

Yes just received ours last week, installed and tested. Ordered them August of last year, my wife really loves them!

We wanted to get them but I didnt like the fact that they don't swing out. Does the new assigned part number armrests now have that feature ?

Hi,
I too got a call last week from the dealership telling me mine had arrived, ordered them when pre ordering the bike in September 2021. But when bike arrived last May, arm rests were on back order! Waiting for snow to disappear before I can get them fitted.

Yes they swing out several degrees and lock in place, there is a lever below the armrest to release. We like the top of armrest made of a dense foam material has a good feel. The quality of the armrest is good, what we expected from a BRP accessory.

I read this thread this morning and immediately called dealer. He said he had a set on floor. I then told him my order # of my bike when i ordered the spyder back in march of least year with arm rests and paid for them with deal . He ran a check and they were for me . To the dealers defense they are doing a total remodel and place was tore up.. I have them home and will install tomorrow ..

Did they come with any rubber inserts with package..?

Budvoss,

The armrest did not come with any rubber inserts.
1 points to the location of lever to pivot the arm out only a few degrees.
2 top part of armrest is all made of a dense foam material.

Regarding price of the armrest, nothing about this machine is inexpensive.
Plus keeping the passenger at ease and comfortable makes it a beneficial upgrade.

I'm not very happy with the fit at all... IMO it looks like crap. Seems like quality and workmanship has been taken over with who gives a ****. Same way with the Side by Sides IMO.

TC Boone seems happy, Bud Voss is not. Is it just subjective and a matter of taste or are there some inconsistencies in this new production run? Any insight?

Just picked ours up last week after waiting 6 months. They were like $550. I read about the install and not sure something I want to contend with so another $200 for me to have installed.

Make sure the installer gives you back the old fill plastic just in case you decide to remove them.

Are you by any chance near NE GA? I could help you install them if so.

I noticed on CanAm's site this morning the armrest are 20% off, that's over $100 discount on the armrest. Many other accessories on their site are also 20% off right now.
