• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

To those that served....

To all our members of the armed forces that have given or are still giving, THANK YOU. Our life would not be this way without your efforts.

I thought these noteworthy. I fear that Veteran's day has become nothing more than a 3-day weekend to many. Let that not be true of us. What this day represents is much too important.

:agree: ..... there are so few left who served during WWII ..... Many prayers to them and their families and to those who are no longer with us ..... Mike

To all my brothers' and sisters' who served..... Happy Veteran's Day!

Just switched on the TV to watch the Phoenix and Prescott, AZ Veterans Day Parades. Looks like good crowds watching. Lots of ROTC and Junior ROTC participants. Good to see all the participation.....

My grandfather instilled in me at a young age the importance of Veterans Day. Being of the WW1 era he still referred to it as Armistice Day. On November 11 he would dress in his Sunday best and at the eleventh hour he would pour a drink and toast a salute to those who served in the Great War. Seeing your mighty grandfather wipe tears from his eyes leaves a lasting impression on a boy. Thank you Veterans for your service.

When I was a little kid.....Paper poppies were handed out on street corners, for a small donation for Vet. service groups. Haven't seen that in 50+ years.
I wonder why that stopped?

I admit. I didn't know it either. But I'm glad I know it now.

It was taught to us in 7th grade along with studying "In Flanders Fields" and Robert W. Service's "The March of the Dead"

BTW if you can find the re broadcast the The Tabernacle Choir has a great musical broadcast for veterans day. Has the West Point Glee Club singing with the Choir. Beautiful tribute to our veterans. It was broadcast today on Sunday 11/13/2022.
