• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I messed up! Anybody know where to get brake shim plates?

I was changing the brake pads on my 2018 F3 L and I messed up. It was 90 or so and I was feeling kind of sluggish and I should have paid better attention. I pulled the pads off and replaced them but I forgot to take off the shim plates. I have looked all over the net and I can't find them. Does anybody out there have a spare set or know where I can get them?

IMHO those shim plates aren't critical to the brakes working ...... Do you think your Brakes aren't fully Braking ????? .... Mike

You're right, the shims are not essential for the brakes to work, but without them the brakes may squeal like a stuck pig. They are not called 'anti squeal shims' for nothing.
