• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Contact info for Spyderflap ** update**

Have questions about the product but no response to message sent to email listed on website. Anyone have more current contact info for this vendor?
Thanks

On the basis of all the prior positive posts for this vendor, I ordered the flap two days after my original post. A few days later I received an email from Sue at Spyderflaps apologizing for not responding to my questions as their internet service had been down. Her response came from [email protected] which is a different email address than the one on the website. Same day I received an acknowledgement of my order, have received the order, and installed the flap on my 2015 RT-S. Easy peasy.
I shamelessly copied the installation upgrade posted earlier by ozarkryder about using the bolt head covers from Lowes. I added a new touch and further upgraded using a couple of license plate holder reflectors for additional visibility.

Claims to be a SL sponsor...

Doesn't just 'Claim' to be a Vendor Pete - they are (still ;) ) listed on the Home Page here as a SpyderLovers Sponsor, so they probably STILL are a Vendor/Sponsor! . Vendors/Sponsors usually don't get too many days of freebie advertising on that Home page, nor should they! :p

As individuals & as a group, our Vendors/Sponsors are generally a great bunch of people; but remember, they too have lives outside the Forum, and there will be times where they have other commitments that they need to attend to, so a delay in replying to your 'urgent message' doesn't usually mean they've skipped the country.... it's far more likely that they're doing something that's important to them, maybe even trying to help someone else out! So please, give them a chance before posting up trumpeting the worst possible interpretation of a minor delay in replying to the World!

That said, the Spyderflap logo on the home page links to this website:

https://www.spyderflap.com/

with a 'Contact Us' proforma that you can fill in which will go direct to them; or you can use the email address provided by sending an E-mail to: [email protected]

I'd recommend using their Contact Us link tho - it might work, might not :dontknow: could depend upon where they are/exactly what they're doing, but at least you know it'll go direct to their inbox & won't be diverted to their spam folder! :lecturef_smilie: Not that ALL, or even too many of you have dodgy looking email addresses; but hey, there are a bunch of you out there who really haven't thought their email addresses thru - you should know who you are, and you've only got yourself to blame if no-one ever responds to your email enquiries!

And no, I'm not pointing any of that at you svspyder, just sayin' that there's some others out there who really do have dodgy email addresses that probably get banned/sent straight to the spam folder just cos of how wrong they look to everyone! ::lecturef_smilie: . Good Luck with getting your questions answered svs!
