• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is a fair price to chrome a rear wheel and the assembly parts with it ?? What about powder coat ?

I just had mine done at Classic Components from Santa Ana, Ca. The cost was as follows: rear wheel - $200, pulley, $100, hub - $85, swing arm - $300, foot pegs and brackets - $500. Hope this gives you an idea of the cost of chroming. Classic Components does a fantastic job and will never send anything out that is not right.

Thanks. All good info. Now I have to think really hard about the chrome vs powder coat. I have a phantom. I'd like to have everything on the bike either chrome or black. Opinions are welcome.

I haven't seen black chrome, at least not that I know of. It sounds great though. Do you know a good place to see pics, or a web site ?

Powder coating and black chrome...

I've seen both the powder coat and black chrome. The both look real sharp on the Spyder. Post some pictures if you do this mod. /Ken

thanks for the pricing

Just my rear rim was $350.00 But, that was for the rim, sprocket and spool. Nuts and bolts were separate. Front were $250.00 each.
