There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. New Front shocks on my 900 ACE Ryker(ride report)

Installed these and giving them a try. Not a bad price. Had to add 10 mm flat washers on each side of the shock, but no big deal. These are the 400mm shocks. I forgot to measure the front of the bike before installing them. But it measures 5 3/4 to the ground. I figured it raised it up some. Couple pictures and I also added around 50 psi to each shock.

After around 100 miles both shocks wouldn't hold air pressure and was bottoming out on some rough roads. Not happy at all with these. I might take them apart and rebuild them. Started out good, but went down hill fast. Put my stock shocks back on with a added 1/2 spacer.

I know some other people have gotten those or something similar. I'm thinking about trying them as well. Were those from Amazon?

Let us know what you think.

I used a similar set of 400 mm shocks on my Rally model. I also purchased them from Amazon; thanks to chris56 for the idea. To my knowlwge Chris and I both left air pressure as recieved. I will be interested to hear your results with 50 psi.

Did you notice an improvement over the stock rally shocks?

Mine was from ebay, but same shock can be bought at Amazon. I could tell right way the ride was much better than the stock. I read somewhere that they was better than the Rally oem ones.

They raised my front end an additional 2 inches over the already higher Rally shocks (7.5 inches clearance total). Handling and comfort are great. They have been on for two years and still seem to be operating fine

Well did some more on the front shocks. Took the springs off of them and they are weak as heck. I could actually shove them down. Done some measuring and found that the front springs off of my 08 GS spyder was the same length, but a heavier spring on the stock 08 front shock. Removed springs from the stock shocks from a 08 GS 990 spyder and installed on the new shocks. Works like a charm. I now have 7.5 inches in the front and got travel on the shock rod now. I think the other springs are junk. Will ride this a few weeks and check back in. So if you need to up grade the up grade shock 08 front spyders shocks springs are the fix to these. I was luck and had kept 2 pair of stock shocks off my Spyders. I have them adjusted pretty stiff and can always back off of them.
