• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Opinions requested on sale price for 2014 RTL

We're selling my wife's Cognac RTL with about 20k miles, good car tire rubber, all scheduled maintenance done.

BajaRon sway bar, laser aligned, belt guard, LED Bulbs in OEM headlights, lighted bump skid, F4 oversize windshield (with OEM in box), luggage rack on lid, OEM trailer hitch, Tri-ax handlebars.

The usual RTL stuff like GPS, frunk luggage, etc.

1 full Can-Am cover, 1 half cover, 1 SpyderSisters sun shield. X-mount phone mount with USB port.

I'm thinking $16k, based on Cycle Trader asking prices. How often do you get a chance to debate the selling price of a Spyder on this forum?

Have at it.

It's worth whatever someone will pay--which is more than normal lately but I'd check NADA if I were you. However, don't expect to get a premium for customizations and accessories.

ASK More, I just sold my '13 White RTL for $15k (with 38k+ miles) and they were happy, even had a bit of a bidding war. a 14 as nice as that should go for much more. I've seen prices on used going over KBB prices which are a bit behind the current selling curve, especially with the late delivers for many 2022's causing folks waiting on theirs to buy an used Spyder to start riding and then selling them off later.
AND I removed many of my transferable farkles to put on my '18. And things like covers should be offered separately, even if for a discounted price. You can always post those in the FS forum.

I use Kelly Blue Book to base my prices of trying to sell or buy something! I figure most people will have to go to the bank to pay for most things and most banks will use it to grant a loan!

There are some other farkles I didn't mention for that reason, but you make a valid point, I think.

Good point. Asking price and bottom line selling price aren't necessarily the same thing.

I believe you've a good target price. I think you've a Spyder that won't be on the For Sale forum. Good luck w/- the sale.

Not all folks want or NEED a Hitch .... farkles are worth about .10 on the $ .... JMHO ....good luck ... Mike ..... PS call " Imotorsports and see what they'll give

You are right in the ball park. KBB for a 2014 RTL says $15,550. You have low miles and a few farkles.

Way more than they were going for when I traded off in January 2021.

Two farkles that are well worth what you're asking are the sway bar and, most valuable, the Tri-Axis bars.

Trying to get you more cash. The hitch is worth more off the bike with the harness. Same goes for some of the other item that you have on the bike. Like the hitch seems to be a solid sell for off the machine. Mike is right on what he said . So to get the most out of your items is to sell separate but not all items are worth removing off the spyder.
Since that hitch is now north of 700 bucks. Yes its worth money.
Well good luck

Just for a point of reference; that's exactly what we paid for our 2014 Rt-L SE6 in September of 2017 with just shy of 6900 miles on it. At that time, it was considerably under blue book value and was very well maintained. I felt pretty good about that deal. Today's environment of higher prices on EVERYTHING might very well get you the same amount on a '14 with three times the mileage ours had and it's almost 3Xs as old.
