• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where to get a license plate light lens only ?

I have been to lots of sites looking for a lens only and can't find one. Does anyone know where to get one? It doesn't have to be OEM . Just hard to put out another $60 for the whole thing. This one broke on the first ride because of strong wind. Thanks for any help.
Jack.

I remember folks looking for those and brake/ tail light lens for the GS/RS models and they couldn't get them ...... I would opt for an after market type .... check E-bay etc. ..... good luck .... Mike

Shop around Amazon, Walmart & automotive stores for a clear reflector that is large enough to cut out the size you need. You may have start with something from a bicycle 1st picture) or a large oval like the second picture but clear. OR even use the lens from a night light (third picture) like I did in making covers for red LED brake lights on one of my bikes. All of those options are less than $10 but require a little work with a coping saw or small band saw if you have access to one.

Thanks for your interest.

Wind was so strong it just snapped the plastic around the screw. Still had a small ring on screw.
It gusted from the side.

There is a group of F3 owners, size apparently unknown, who are victims of BRP's refusal to provide a separate part number and price for the license plate light lens alone.

Or.... BRP won't sell that part alone. Remember the windshield ARM , they finely did but it took about 8 years for them to sell it separately ... of course it was still the same piece of JUNK as the original, but it save folks about $ 650.00 ..... Mike

Here is what I did when I could not find a lens for mine, went to Pep Boys and got this one for $6.00
it is the entire light, you will have to take yours off and toss it and put this one in it's place.

AH. After seeing the last couple of posts I realized you were not talking about just the clear lens that illuminates the license plate. Since I do not own a Spyder with that style of rear lighting, it was an easy mistake to make without pictures. SO--nevermind.
