There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. What's needed to remove the Frame pieces and foot rest brkt?

Hi all! Just wanted to know if there are any garage mechanics out there that can answer this. I have been told that I should not remove the upper and lower frame pieces as well as the passenger foot rest mounting bracket. I was hoping to get the parts powder coated like the orange and blue ones they make. Has anybody removed these parts? If so what do I need to do besides support the bike from below? It doesn't make sense to me that people are telling me it can't be done without throwing off the engine alignment.I doubt our Spyders are that unstable unsound.

Interesting post as I think these are the three pieces you need to remove to change the belt on the left hand side of the trike. Hope someone chimes in to answer your post but I personally do not know.

I was told by a Spyder mechanic that it is pretty straight forward. The right side is suppose to be harder because the brake cable. I'll wait to see if anybody chimes in on this before I go ahead with it.

Support the engine. Remove frame pieces. Powdercoat. Replace. You might have to jack the engine up or down a hair to fit, but not that hard to do. I did a belt last year; a couple of tries to get the bolt holes to line up, and it went right back together. Joe
