• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sad times - got my first suspension on a Social Media Site (No, not here!)

No. RV forum.

Whenever my wife and I head out camping, and by preference, we do not have a true RV, it seems those with RVs are either super cool, or total jerks if you do not fit their own personal guidelines. Essentially, like a Home Owners Association. Not that the rules are bad, simply the method of enforcement is where folks insist on being Judge, Jury and Executioner, making a big deal over minor stuff. Most times they just need to ask.

Welcome to the club. About 2 months ago I got banned from Facebook. I can look, but cannot post. My infraction..."they" said that I had supplied "false" information to them. Not that I know of. Have to go through an "inquisition" to get it cleared up. Not going to. Just confirms my feeling that FB is totally worthless anyway. Don't need to go there.

If you are not a "snowflake" and you view the world through a clear lens as it really is, and make your comments based on that framework, you'll surely get bumped.

AR, wear it as a badge of honor, FB is the very worst of all social media. FB has followers by the short hairs to track relatives and friends, that is a powerful tool.

I've been banned several times from Facebook, and kicked off for life from Smith & Wesson Forum for making an anti-Hilary comment back in 2016. Some of the best forums have BOTH special interest information and at least one sub-forum for just about anything to be discussed. One of the best is Glocktalk. You might want to join that forum even if you are not a gun person, or not a Glock person. Motorcycleforum.com has an "Off Topic" area where almost anything is fair game, but has a very small group of users. I agree with forums not allowing profanity or personal attacks or blatant racism or other bigotry, but forums that seem to melt if you mention anything remotely political are ones I generally avoid.

I came to this forum when I gave up my Goldwing in favor of a new Spyder RT, but there is just so much I can discuss about a 3 wheel motorcycle. Its nice to be able to vent or discuss the state of the world with others who might share an interest in the subject.

Well, my friend, I am what is considered a 'snowflake' I suppose. I'm not offended by anything that has been said here so far, although I may not share those opinions. I'm just pointing out, though, that in demeaning one group of Spyder Lovers (let's say liberals for the sake of clarification) just because they don't agree with the majority opinion here, is to violate the rules of this forum, I think. It certainly does nothing to bond us all together in our common interest of Spydering.

I think people who want to vent their spleen have many avenues to do so. Those of us who don't wish to be subjected to disparaging comments and divisive rhetoric while sharing our love of Spyders don't have anywhere else but this forum.

Maybe it has changed, but for awhile you had to curtail your language or the women would complain and I'd get lots of warnings. ;) Snipershide is a great place to chat with very little moderation and people are tolerant of differing opinions, but be ready to defend your opinions.

Pete, you're are NOT a snowflake!!!!!

I must have missed the post that called an individual member here a snowflake. In today's society, a person can self-identify as whatever he/she/they/them chooses to.
I'm from the NE so my skin is pretty thick. Just don't call me late for the next group ride.
