I've mounted the Denalis. They're a class act.
I used their harness wiring, including switch. I imagine if you're handy with those kinds of things, you could substitute a different switch.
:agree: ..... I haven't asses these yet, but I have seen " user " video's and I am quite impressed .... They also have " D-7's " which throw even more light  .................. Question to Pete, what do you think of yours ???? do they make a noticeable difference ... or do you think the D-7's might have been a better choice ???? ..........Thank ...Mike
I had the D7s on a previous bike - and they are the best there is. Denali's DataDim technology is brilliant. I love their line. Their new D3s are nice - but you need to choose fog or driving. With the D7s, you get both in a single kit (they are jsut big and heavy). D2s are maybe the best bang for the buck![]()
Hi Mike, if I were to do more desert night riding (not so uncommon as a tactic for avoiding extreme heat) I'd probably add something like the D-7s because the open desert really soaks up light. But, given my current and likely riding style, the original lights I've mounted are more than adequate for back country roads at dusk.
Yes, they make a noticeable difference; the light throws much further down the road than the LED headlights. That's in part because I've mounted them up higher, on my plastic air deflectors. I think it's a mistake to mount them low on the A-arms as most people do.
Thank you for all of the input. I just may have some Denali's in my future.
Also, can a switch like the other switches already on the spyder be added to the dash.
This is the question I am curious about. I know the switch can be added, I'm just wondering where one can be purchased.
@UtahPete I was taking about a Can-Am oem switch. They must exist since the 2nd slot from the right slot does not have a switch and it is designated for additional lightning to be added.
I installed the led lightbar from slingmods.. basically because the blank switch was bothering me, the switch lights blue but since its switching a light it doesnt bother me much.
I'm pretty sure the Can-Am switches are generic.
I know if you buy foglights from LaMonster a switch come with the kit. He might be a source of the switch you want.
I called today, and was informed that they do not sell the switch by itself.I know if you buy foglights from LaMonster a switch come with the kit. He might be a source of the switch you want.
I have two more questions. If I add the Denali lights which is the best option in your opinion, The D2's or the SM's? I will mainly use these for day time use to be seen. Also is it necessary to have the hi/low option as I just plan to have them on all the time. You input would be appreciated.
