• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We need to get some new Rallys going. I am getting bored. Talked to Joe and Ann Meyer the other day and they certainly agree. It gives me a chance to meet new folks and gives me a good excuse to get out and go somewhere. Was

hoping the Boerne/Kerville rally's would crank back up. Love to ride the Hill Country. Really nice people down there.

What is your thoughts?

Jack

I hope the Red Rock one is back for 2022! Another great one is the one in Johnson Creek, WI. That one is happening in 2022!

i live in the Kerrville area. It is my understanding that the lady who used to be in charge of the Texas Hill Country Spyder event has moved to Oklahoma and no one else has taken it on… plus the Covid mess got in the way. 2019 was the last year it was held.

However, the trike forum I belong to has had gatherings here except for 2020 (again..due to the Covid mess) for several years.
EVERYONE is welcome…we have had trikes, Spyders, 2-wheelers, and tag-along 4-wheelers through the years.
We did have an informal gathering in April this year. Trikes were here from Arizona, Colorado, Michigan, Mississippi, Tennessee, Nebraska, and of course Texas. Traditionally this gathering has been in the fall due to unstable weather in the spring. But they took a chance this year and squeezed in between the cold temps and the monsoon although it was pretty cool with one light sprinkle that lasted 10 minutes.

This event is strictly a gathering and ride… no registration fees, no prizes, no vendors...just show up and enjoy the ride and meet new folks.
Not sure if anything is planned for 2022… time will tell.
I will post here if anything gets planned for 2022.

All that being said…. If anyone wants to come to Kerrville just put the word out here or PM me…betcha anything we could meet up for some riding!!

If you want a rally then quit waiting for somebody else to do it and do it yourself. I started one here in central Oregon 10 years ago. Started as a RTE and turned into an annual event. I set up a block of rooms at the local motel. I set up a site to buy shirts if folks want one, arrange for a catered banquet (usually prime rib)and then it runs itself. It's one of those things a caveman can do.
When I bought my Spyder in 2015, I talked it up here for a couple years but the only Spyder in the lot was mine so I figured there wasn't any interest. We usually have 50-75 bikes.

I've never heard of it...

Spirit Lake Iowa is the home of Indian Motorcycle. Before that it was home to Victory. They used to have an annual Victory Rally. Would be great to get another rally here. It is a tourist area with beautiful lakes, hotels and restaurants, amusement park, water park, 2 breweries and some nice roads. Chamber would be very helpful if there was interest.

Just finished up a 3 day trip to ride the Devil's Highway in far eastern Arizona. Based our group out of Springerville, AZ. Great riding. Would be a good place for a southwest rally. 460 curves in 120 miles
