• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Kickstart on older GS/ST? :)

While I was at the dealer today, I was looking around at some of the bikes sitting waiting for service. I saw this GS/ST (?). Just out of curiousity, what is the lever my arrow points to? Not in the right place for a shifter or foot peg and while I didn't get on my hands and knees to look under the bike, from what I saw, it almost looked like it was movable. Honestly, the first thing that came to mind was a kickstand. :)

I have OCD so you don't know how difficult it was NOT to try to push it. (I didn't touch the bike.)

So, what is it?

Yes, earlier version of the parking brake. My spouse was often "over doing it" when applying the parking brake. I got real good at adjusting the cable.

Thanks. Parking brake never came to mind. I guess I always thought EVERY Spyder (GS/ST/Ryker/F3/RT) had an electronic parking brake.

BTW, was that a GS or an ST?

It is a GS or RS 2008 to 2012. 2013 and later RS model have different front wheels and fenders. Definitely not an ST.
