Wow I'm impressed with the level of knowledge on this boardCome on Bee, you know once you sting someone life is over for you, are you sure you want to do that? Here is something from Google about this:
It's true -- female bees die after they sting. Their stingers are actually ovipositors, tubular structures extending from the abdomen that sometimes contain eggs. When the barbed stinger is left inside the victim, the bee mortally tears her abdomen in the process. Alas, she dies.
Note, however, that only female bees die after stinging.
