• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1 or 2 oil drain plugs

I have the owners manual out, only mentioned one drain plug, watched several videos, some very painful. But I was under the impression there were 2 drain plugs for the motor. Or does the transmission use motor oil?

There are two. One for the engine and one for the transmission. They both use the same oil. I pull the engine plug first as that has the most oil in it than the trans side.

If you look at the BRP parts lists for the 1330 ACE engines look for the Fiche for the Clutch Cover as that's where the "transmission plug" is found. There are two item numbers, one for the Magnetic Drain Plug M12 X 1.5, PN 420241782, and the second for the Copper Washer, PN 420250640. The engine and transmission share the lubrication oil.

There are 2 drain plugs for the SE models (semi auto transmission). If you have a manual clutch. I believe there is only 1. Correct me if I'm wrong.

All Spyders, both manual and automatic have 2 drain plugs. The manual does not have a transmission hydraulic control module filter.
