There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. fog lights.... who has them?

Just wondering who has the stock fog lights and if they like them? I'll probably be ordering a Spyder this week and the fog lights are something I am interested in as getting dealer installed at setup. When I look at pictures it seems I never seen folks with them installed.

Are they worth getting?

FOG LIGHTS

I have them, and I like them. They add extra light at night. But they are a bit pricey.:2thumbs:

I agree. Extra light is always good, but they are pricey.

Well BRP is currently giving 1000 dollars in credit towards accessories, so I'm looking at what goodies I can get. I figure exhaust I can do later and from what I have read its cake to do on your own. Windscreen is probably the same, bags I can do.

The other thing I like is the phantom body kit. How hard is it to replace that body work?

Edit: I guess the better question is if you had the 1k in credit towards BRP parts what would you get?

I used my $1000 for Fog Lights, Trunk Liner, Comfort Seat, Outside Cover and 12v acc plug.

Don't waste your money on the phantom kit...you can get for cheaper at other places...

The fog lights are a great option...

Better night visibility and looks cool. Good option to have.

I have them and like them also--- they fill a bit of a void in front of the Spyder.

If you really want GREAT lighting you should go with some HID lights like the ones from ESI/NMN. The BRP ones are too much $$$ -- but the ESI/NMN one's are under $300 I think.

Congrats on your new Spyder !

Did your dealer install them for free during setup? How do you like the comfort seat?
Yes, no cost for any installation, but I also didn't get any discount on the parts.

The comfort seat is better than stock for sure, but I'm still not able to ride all day without some discomfort.

I had the fog lights installed prior to delivery. I had a premier edition pre-order so I didn't get the $1,000 incentive. I am glad I made the purchase and am considering upgrading to an HID kit for both the fogs and headlights possibly in the future.

They are a bit on the cha-ching side though, but most of the Spyder goodies are.

:congrats: I have the fog lights and never use them !! Got HID lights from NMN 275-300 bucks and are 10 times better than stock and out shine the fog lights also because i got the HID head lights and the regular fog lights the two different intensities look odd on the :spyder2: . If i had to do it over again i wouldn,t have installed the fog lights, just leave the vents in for better cooling and air flow.

Sorry fore got, the phantom black-out kit sells for about 600-800 on Ebay and is a pretty easy install with the exception of the rear fender. It takes forever to reroute the licence plate light. You are better to cut the wire and then use some shrink wrap around the splice in the wire.

I used the $1,000 credit for the fog lights, trunk liner, 1" riser, 12 volt accessory jack, custom grips, sport touring windshield, and the outdoor storage cover. All of these were dealer installed as well.

I feel I got a whole lot of bang for the bucks on that deal.

I have the fog lights they are very bright and work well we have a lot deer
out at night around here so the more light shining the better

I've got them and like them. Had them put in as soon as I bought my Spyder. I don't see well at night so they definitely help. Roaddog has the NMN lighting setup going on - they light up even better - sort of a bluish tint too.

Lots of options! To use on the phantom kit is not a good investment....don't need it to start anyway....however, some other items are better from the get-go...
