• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Kenda Kanine Tires

I put a K9 on my rear tire about 3K miles ago. I got 12K out of the original OEM. I let the fronts go. Now at 16K on them I am going to replace both fronts. Going to the rally in Hot Springs next month and going to get what Spyderpops has. Hopefully, they will be darkside....but will put on a K9 if he does not have that. No OEM Kendas for me though.

16,000 on FRONT Kanine's .... well that's not impressive ....?? is your alignment the issue ... even the OEM Kenda's did a lot better than that ....jmho ... Mike

I usually get 20K plus out of the front OEM's. I will have close to 18K on them (Kenda OEM's) by the time of the Hot Springs rally. Might as well change them out....because I will not get another 15K plus on them. Rather have "newer" than "older" tires if I have to make a choice.

Front Tires

:coffee: What about using the 'Q5s' on the front of your Spyder? Just curious on your views. ......

Funny you should ask.

I have the Q5's upfront and the K9 in the rear. A great one two punch combo. Add the BajaRon sway bar in addition to the aforementioned and completely transform your bike into a curve eating beast. Great high speed stability as well. 80MPH never felt so good.

nothing came up for me when I tried following this link.

I just got the Kanine back tire and it seems much "grippier" than the old Kenda. Did a spirited ride up and down Rist canyon and Buckhorn road last night and didn't slide around in the areas I expected the back tire to break loose.

I found some other threads on it and see that it is supposed to have less traction -- so maybe my "grippier" result is just because the new tire has tread on it compared to the old tire which was smooth in the middle. That said, it appears to be grippy enough to handle tight curves at speed.
