• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New RT shifter button feels mushy

Not exactly sure how to describe it but the shifter selector (push button thing that changes gears) doesn't have the same crisp feel as my 2018 RTL. Has anyone else noticed this or can compare it to a pre-2020 RT? Not sure if they changed something, if something is broken or if I'm imagining things (or all 3). It's going in the shop in a couple of weeks for new bars (probably) and if something is amiss, I'd like to tell them something more than "it's mushy".

HAGO!

My turn signal switch is that way. I think it's like a S&W revolver. You've got to cycle it a few thousand times to get it feeling smooth and right.

Since the " paddle shifter " ie. push button thing, is an electrical switch, not cables ..... it's possible the spring loaded shifter has a different spring from previous years. .... good luck .... Mike

That would make sense, Mike. I guess as long as it keeps working, it doesn't matter, right? :)

Never had many revolvers. I'm not coordinated enough to reload one of those very fast. :) I have noticed over the years that most pistols take at least a couple hundred rounds before they smooth out.

Faster than you think

When set up with half moon clips a revolver ( and some practice ) a revolver can reload plenty quick. A few seconds with a fine stone and the sear and trigger are ButterSmooth............

I have no doubt, Lew, but I can reload any of my semi auto pistols (S&W and SIG) in less than a second. I guess I like what I'm used to. :)

Nah. It's not about revolvers v. semi autos. It's about handguns in general. (I think. What were we originally discussing?)
