• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Curious mileage discrepancy today

Grumpy and I went out for a little ride this afternoon, the first test after the new dps and the update to the update. Ran great! Steering was smooth as glass! My old spyder is back!

The curious part is that we stopped for gas at one point, where we both reset our trip meters. Little while later, Grumpy said (through the headsets) "that's 50 miles since we got gas". I looked at my trip meter and it said 52.1 miles. When we got home, his said 65.6 and mine said 68.2. I googled our route, and google said 65.5 miles.

I have stock tires, and the pressure is fine. Could have been this way forever, we've never compared before. Just seems a little weird.

Yea, not uncommon for odometers to be off each other a bit. My father and I ride identical snowmobiles (same year, make, model) and after a 250+ mile day our odometers often differ by as much as 5-6 miles.

Yes, weird, but . . . . .

. . . . . it does explain why Grumpy looks like he has so many more miles on him than you do. :D

Something totally different, but same kind of weird - yesterday I noticed my analog speedometer was showing about 5 to 10 MPH more than the digital. When the digital showed 40, the analog was showing 45. At 70 on the digital, the analog was 80.

Today, I put a couple of hundred miles on and both of them were in sync all day long. ( if I was Grumpy, it would have been 250 )

odometer descrepency

I was out riding last week and came across a measured 5 mile odometer check. For every 1 measured mile, my odometer registered 1and 1/10. I didn't try to maintain 60mph and time the mile. I was out for a relaxing ride
