• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Reusing RT-622 Trailer with 2020 RT Limited

Has anyone reused a Can-Am RT-622 trailer with a 9 pin round connector with a new style 4 pin square on the Rt’s? I just traded in my 2010 RTS for a 2020 RT Limited and kept the trailer. I was hoping to find a pre-made pigtail of some sort. If not I will cut the old connector off and hardwire the 4 pin square on. thanks Bob

What you propose is doable, but there is a better way. If you purchase the oem trailer tongue wire harness, you should be able to do a simple plug and play with minimal to go with 4 pin square.

The trailer wire harness was reasonably priced.

Ensure too, your RT622 has the grounding wire upgrade if applicable.

Yes, I ordered it for $79 and got 10% off from the dealership.

Thanks PMK. Do you have p/n's of the harness and the ground wire upgrade?

Yes, just to be clear, your new Spyder has the 4 pin square and you have a round pin trailer harness.

You are wanting everything updated to 4 pin square.

If you pm your email, I should be able to send the applicable instructions that will update the trailer to the later setup which is worth doing also to prevent any concerns about electrical issues.

You did not post the model year of the trailer. Please supply that and the document will make more sense.

Just beware that 2010 BRP Trailers had a problem with the ground wire, make sure you get a good ground and rewire the end fitting on the trailer to match your spyder.

If you have a 2010 trailer, there is a wiring upgrade kit that needs to be installed as part of converting to the square plug. This includes a ground wire upgrade and disabling certain lights.

I have a BRP trailer upgrade kit that I need to post in the for sale section... part number 219400271.... converts the trailer 9 pin to flat 4.... then you just need an adapter from the 4 flat to 4 square... I will likely post it at $75 plus shipping if you are interested.
