• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Sena 20s and iPhone 6S Plus Question - Unresponsive Siri

During the off-season, I finally entered the 21st century and got myself a smartphone - an iPhone 6s Plus. I know that it's far from the latest tech, but baby steps, you know? ;)

I got the phone and my Sena 20s paired via Bluetooth and I can hear my music, etc thru my helmet's speakers now (nice!). But I have a problem when using Siri. If the spyder is turned off, Siri works fine thru the Sena 20s. But when the Spyder is on and running, Siri is no longer functionsal. It's as if "she" doesn't hear me anymore until I turn my Spyder off. Obviously, this isn't ideal as I'd like to control my iPhone via voice (thru the 20s) seamlessly while ryding.

Can someone explain why Siri isn't working properly? Is there a setting somewhere that I need to change?

Thanks!
Bert

Newbert,
Sounds like you have your IPhone bluetoothed to both the Sena and the Spyder. If your music is on the phone just Bluetooth the phone to the Sena. Turn off the Spyder Bluetooth. Hope that helps.

FWIW - Mt Spyder is equipped with no audio equipment atall (even though it's an F3T), so I can't see how the iPhone could be bluetoothed to the Spyder, because I don't have Spyder Bluetooth.

You can also override that by just pushing the small phone button on the
20S and then ask SIRI for what you want

I'll give that a try on my next ride, Thanks. But frankly, I'd prefer not having to do that to make Siri work, since I have a bad shoulder and that button is hard for me to reach - especially with wearing gloves.

Hi again...
Dave here, Give me a call 209-887-3283, I have the cure for that problem now that I know what you have
SENA makes a remote for your headset you can have a pust to talk or control button right there on your handlebars
right by your thumb or fingers easily operated with gloves on.
Dave
