There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I will definitely be keeping my 2016 F3T for a while. I like the looks of the 2020RT, but I cannot justify that type of purchase right now. There were a lot of changes, but I foresee a driveline change coming in the next 2 years or so. That would be my main reason for changing things up. I feel like the 2020 RT is going to be a stepping stone to even greater things, kinda like the 2013 got new suspension parts and such, but the real upgrades didn't take place until 2014.
Besides, I still have my 2nd generation Vmax for 2 wheeling and picked up this baby for additional open air riding:doorag:

The 2020 is nice but, my 2012 RTL is like a part of me and I'm not ready to part with it yet. Not to say that I wont add a second Spyder or Ryker someday never know.

Everyone that has ridden one on our Demo Tour has loved it and I am sure that they would all upgrade to one if finances allowed it. But that isn't possible for many of us.

As much as we might like to jump on the 2020 RTL we'll be keeping our 2012 RTL and 2015 RT-S for the time being. I haven't quite figured out how to buy a pair of 2020 RTLs and keep a roof over our heads without parting with our other toys. Is that possible? My sole disclaimer is that we haven't seen or fondled the new RTL yet. Slow to reach San Antonio, TX apparently.

I have chosen to NOT upgrade to a 2020 RT. But in December 2019, I did purchase a new 2019 F3L Chrome in Phoenix Orange. We traded off the 2011 RT A&C.
For this go around it was about the money. I saved about $3K in process, versus the 2020 RT. I am retired fully now. No more income coming in, so had to be on the frugal side.
We still have the 2014...so the jury is still out. Maybe another RT is in the works for one more final Spyder. And, I have said that twice now. :yes:

Kind of most common remarks I have heard by others content with not buying a 2020, waiting on drivetrain upgrade to shaft, waiting on bigger engine, the trade in value vs new bike cost is not there yet.

Can't afford the new bike and the old, and no room to store 2. Trading in my old bike.

I have a 2016 F3-T and I will consider upgrading as soon as the F3 series is revamped like the 2020 RT series was done.
But not a fan of what the RT's look like. I prefer the tougher lines of the F3 series.
