2019 F3L arrived today

Just a quick note to let all know that my new 2019 F3L arrived today.

Purchased from iMotorsports about three weeks ago.

The called me on Friday to confirm delivery. The driver called me Saturday to confirm the time. He missed it by 30 minutes...weather and all that he had to drive through to get here.

They picked up the trade-in (the 2011 RT A & C).

This was a no-hassle purchase and delivery.

The accessories were installed as ordered. Signature light and Can Am driving lights.

The U-fit set up was also as ordered. A gamble for me, as I did not test sit an F3 this go around. I used the chart, and it worked for me. It sits very comfortable for my handlebar and brake pedal reaches.

I am really liking the Phoenix Orange color and the slightly streamlined look compared to the RT. Hopefully we will both be seen by other drivers better. One yellow (burt), and one orange (ernie).

I am planning on taking a trip to Nixa and Lamonster Garage for four more accessories. LED headlights, Bright rear accessory lights, Lighted Bumpskid, and the Chrome Luggage rack.

I am going to have to wait a couple days to add some pictures. It's raining, thundering, and lightning here at the moment. We are a hundred miles South of the storm that is currently dropping freezing drizzle and snow all across the midwest.

It is supposed to be sunny and in the mid fifties by the end of the week.

So, no test rides for me today. 36 degrees...a bit on the cool side.

Fantastic!

Enjoy... Enjoy... and know you will love riding all those great roads down there in NW Arkansas!

You should be used to 36 degress coming from Alaska. I did notice you said cool instead of cold though.

I am thinking it has to do with the humidity here. Less than 40 and I am finding it feels chilling to the bone. Thirties seem even worse. I had no problem riding to 20 degrees in AK. Good gear kept me okay. Same here. At 40 now, the winter pants and jacket with liner goes on. I am okay. Just no driving on icy roads. So far...none encountered. Today's sleeting rain...I decided to wait a day or so.

:congrats: On the F3's arrival! Sounds sorta like a new baby in the family, does it feel at all like that?? Regardless, what a great Chrissie present!

I hope you get a chance for some good ryding weather soon.... I guess your 'sub 40°F temps' mean much the same ryding restrictions that our 'plus 40°C temps' mean here, slippery roads & all.... only for exactly the opposite reasons!! I got a 'short ryde' in this morning and now I'm busy cleaning up the mess of bleedin' melted tar splatter that was all over my ryding jeans, the RT's panels, built up under the mudguards, & covering the wheels, as well as gumming both sprockets and the belt!! :banghead: I wonder if some freezing weather would help?? :dontknow:

Congrats on your new ride. I got my 2016 F3T from them, as a left over in April of 2017. The transaction for me was flawless as well. I also liked the way they met me on vacation to pick up my trade in and take delivery of the new bike. Enjoy, and hope to see pictures soon.

In most cases, they seem to be on the money with everything they do. Mistakes or problems can happen. It's how they are taken care of that is important to me.

TEST DRIVE, TEST DRIVE, TEST DRIVE.

So far today it is a nice clean, crisp, 32 degrees and with wind chill, according to the weather gurus, it feels like 22. Will have to say I agree with them. Riding in the sun made it feel better though. Our roads are ice free and clear though.

I have a one word overall opinion so far...WOW!

Compared to the 2014 RT-S, I would say Cadillac vs. BMW. The steering is so easy, its like it takes no effort whatsoever. I had to watch my speed, When I thought I was going 35 it was at 47. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Driving the twisties is a whole new experience. Seems to have little to none when it came to "g" forces. The F3 seemed stuck to the road. I am going to have to keep Linda off of it. She will want one of these.

Absolutely no buyer's remorse. I DID GOOD. I am hoping to put a hundred miles or so on later this PM.

Pictures still to come. Thanks for listening.

Congrats AR the first ride sounds like a winner! I admit to really liking the positioning of the F3 when I sat on it.

Definitely looking forward to pics, both before and after the Farkles go on.

Congrats!!! To the red: I think handling is often one of the biggest things people overlook when considering the RT vs. the F3... the F3 handles so much better! IMO.

I felt certain you would love the F3. Your experience and comments about the comparison between your RT and the F3 were mine almost 3 years ago. After that time and 45K miles, it only got better. Enjoy, my friend!

Welcome to the F3L fun club!!! A delight to be on; really saddening when it comes time (you have) to get off. But, then, there's always tomorrow, and do it all over again. Really hate having to say "good night" to mine. Hope your experiences are the same.

I have some pictures for you. They would not transfer from my album to here.

Click on my name in green. Click on "View Profile." This will take you to my home page.

Scroll down to where the albums are. There will be a picture of the F3L.

Click on that picture and the album will open up.

Click on ANY picture and the size will enlarge. Click on the directional arrow. There are five nice views of the new F3.

Enjoy. And speaking of enjoy, I have put 120 miles on it since yesterday. And YES, I am really liking this Spyder.
