• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi Everyone
Are you still riding around on your Spyder trusting your

$1000 iPhone or other big bucks phone held on by a plastic
X mount thingy ?

The mount is OK but the holder is not so great, I have the cure
Get rid of the X mount and get this, 1 in ball.jpg

don't worry about your phone bouncing down the road.

Nice....

Look like some solid mounts. My phone rydes in my pocket but if I were to have it out this would do the trick. Great for those that do use their phones...:2thumbs:

I have no problems using the X-grip with the rubber posts to hold and not scratch or mar the side of my $1500+ phone. Thanks

I have to agree Gene, my phone is in my pocket! GPS gets me where I need to go, and I don't need to take any phone calls when ryding.

I still use the old X Grip. But I am also one of those people who have an android Motorola phone which cost me about $99-$129 to get the latest one. Does everything that I have ever imagined, and more. My kids and grandkids have to have the latest and greatest, but not me. I'm good.

I’ve got you all beat! No cell coverage anywhere close to my house. Verizon was 1 bar. I guess I’d better start looking to update. My old $5.99 Brick tracphone with 3G was shut down in August. 3G don’t exist anymore. Yep I’m a bit behind times. My plan really broke the bank. 90 minutes a month for $4.99 and I have over 2000 minutes when they shut it down. FORGET THE PHONES!

YOU GUYS ALL WIN !!!! BUT there are still folks who use their phone and also use it for a GPS

So true and total waste of money - as is a phone mount -phone in pocket and ignored!!!

Phone in the pocket and turned off. Anybody that wants one on the handlebars can have it, long as they ain't texting while they riding.

Phone Mount

5B7CB80C-42D3-476C-876B-C070E6599D4A.jpg Switched from both size xgrip, neither held the iPhone XS securely enough to let me feel comfortable withe phone in a mount. Switched to Tacform and phone is mounted every time I ride and held securely.

A phone is not just a phone anymore and not every one rides a RT. I've never owned a standalone GPS. I use google MAPS on my phone even when i know where im going because it saved me countless hours with accidents and road closures and never been to a place where my phone couldnt acquire a gps signal having said that never been to remote areas like Antarctic, Alaska etc. So my $1000 phone gets mounted on the handlebar and 1 has to be secured to 2. Docked/undocked easily.
