• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Air compressor out again

I had the compressor replaced under warranty once and now it's out again. Is there a better replacement out there? I'm just putting air in under the seat but not sure what pressure for 2 up riding. Thanks

Digging through the SL archives, I found this gem. Being frugal (aka cheap) I like his approach to the problem.

I tried the link and found it leads to nowhere. So sorry. The video shows a fellow had removed a non working air compressor and removed the motor housing to discover the brushes were stuck in their channels and not touching the commutator. He cleaned out the channels, lubed the end bearing, re-assembled it and it tested out perfect. A man after my own frugal heart. It's nice to know the compressor is serviceable.

Very easy to bypass the compressor. Also, in the Owners Manual there is a picture of a label that has the suggested psi for the air bag based on rider weight and gear

This is a very good step by step video on removing your panels. Your owners manual will also take you thru a step by step removal.

Like 911 said, it's a lot cheaper to gut it and fill direct to the bag. You will not miss the compressor a bit, once you figure out what pressure works for you! Good luck!!
