• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

can you take off the swing arm caps without messing up the adjustment on the belt? (if I dont loosen the axle nuts)

how tight are those bolts supposed to be?

I would like to take em off paint them - but wont if it will mess up any adjustments

Yes, the caps will easily come straight off.

Axle nut is in the 90 F/P range... don't remember the exact but it's a lot.

Whoa! Are you talking about the axle caps or the swing arm caps? The 96 ft lb for the axle nut would be gigantic torque for those little tension screws on the end caps. In reality they have no set torque. They are just moved to align the belt, then the axle is tightened. If you do not loosen the axle, you should be able to merely snug them up again without changing the belt alignment. I would wise to check the alignment for a while though, and you can expect it could change if you ever loosen the axle nut. You shold be able to readily remove the axle caps (if so equipped) without loosening the axle nut. If they have set screws, I'm not sure of the torque. I just use Loctite and snug up my MNM cap set screws.

im talking about about the rectangle end caps on the swing arm and you did answer my question by assuming that. Thank you

I have already taken off the axle caps and painted them. They are just plastic and they just pull off.
