• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hey Everyone !!

I'm 5' 51/2" , 30 inseam. 2019 F3L with Cannonball seat.
Doing the tape measure from the gas tank up, my eyeline is approx 191/2"
Anyone run the F4 21" windshield on their F3 ?
Whats your review of it ??
Does the wind go up and over your head or hit your forehead ??
Can you see over the top of it ??
Would you have gone with the 23" instead ??

Thanks,
Tommy J.

Tommy,

If you are going on the Caswell's ride this Saturday I could ride Kathy's F3l with the 23 inch shield and you can see how that works for you. She has the Russell Day Long on it which does sit higher than the stock seat, but may be close to your Cannonball.
Let me know as I would otherwise be on my F3s.

BTW I did look over your F3 last Saturday and I give it:2thumbs::clap:

It's too bad, I can't make the ride. It's my grandsons birthday party that day. 1 year old.
How does Kathy like the 23" ??
I just picked up my F3L yesterday !!
You think the Cannonball seat raises you up a bit compared to the OEM seat ?
Can you send me some pics ?? 6513412881
I took a chance and just ordered the 23" but am second guessing myself for the 21"
I'm so confused !! :banghead: LOL
It's tough being a short guy !! 5'51/2"

Thanks for the thumbs up !!

MY BEST TO YOU GUYS !! Can't wait till we all can ride again !!

I was concerned ordering the 23" for her as she sits low. On the RT the stock shield at the lowest setting was in line with her sight. She likes the 23" as she can see over it.
The Cannon did appear to be taller, but could be an optical illusion.
What pictures are you looking for?

Fireplug, it’s too late now, as you have already ordered it, but before you mount it, have you looked at the F4 site’s YouTube clips showing how to get exactly the right height? ......or call Don, the owner, who is a member here. He is always willing to help make sure you get exactly the right height.

Pics of it on her bike. From the back, front and side. Thanks !!! :D
If I remember right, Kathy is 3-4 inches taller than me. I think !!

My wife has a 21" F4. She is 5'9". If its good for her then you should not have a problem at 5'5 1/2"

Fireplug mount the shield as we discussed and leave the plastic on to see if the height is right and if so then your good if not you can return it and get the height you need.
