• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

saw the RT today

:agree:
The fact that you can turn the RS into a quasi-touring bike is a great advantage. So is the customization. Does anybody know if there are any mods out for the RT's? If there aren't, I'm sure they will be soon. Then again, there are already a lot of bells and whistles on it.
There are at least three mods but they are still in my head. :D

I had a chance to check out Ken's RT yesterday. If I were looking for a cruiser and had the $$, I would definitely consider this Spyder--but the original is a better fit for most of my ryding. The seats on the RT are great, but at a little over 6 feet tall the riding position was not at all comfortable for me. Hard to explain, but my elbows were too bent and I imagine it would not feel good after a long ride. I'm sure NMN will come up with a solution.

I have a mod in mind for the bars now, just got to wait till I have my own to play with. I think some passenger arms rest are in order too. :doorag:

if your passenger sits one time on the new RT - you have lost..
this is now a solution for many hours on tour with no knee-problems for my wife..
i also would have prefered a better solution for the bars - like §D adjustabel superbike bars - were you can move them up/down and left right..
for me the sreen is too high (also in down-position) sometimes in the summer i would like to have the full wind in my face..
so in reality the RTis a too much tourer for me now - lets wait for the first downgrade mods ( specially for europe..)
would be also intresting how many parts are ident and fits on RT/RS/GS (??? who was that - a BMW-FAN at BRP ??)
so maybe its a cheaper possibility for "transformers ideas by lamont" ?
chris
my GS is called RS now - changed to RT soon ??

If I was getting an RT, this is a problem I would fix with a Russell saddle upgrade.

Yeah, a custom saddle might do the trick. I have a feeling Lamont will have a fix for this issue asap. Hey Lamont--haven't you lived in Tenn. long enough? I think it's time to come back to So.Cal where you can help us all with our mods!

I thought i saw someware that rear passanger arm rests were going to be available :chat: cant remember were ?
