• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

frigg'n weather

Now THAT's Political!! :roflblack:

But my statement still stands, and there are at least three Moderators in here right now...
Somebody should step up to the plate, and explain their decision.
Or change it...

Imagine that... Are we going back to the stories from 40 years ago, that foretold of global cooling? :dontknow:

It's obvious what the answer is after reading the quote above. Burning natural gas releases a lot of CO2 with little other pollution causing the climate to warm. Burning coal releases a lot of pollution that causes the climate to cool. We just need to burn the right proportion of each and the climate will stay stabilized! :roflblack: :ohyea:

Just in time for our temperatures to start dropping again. :banghead:
We'll be back down near zero: for Wednesday & Thursday.
Next week: Upper forties have been forecast.

3 Years ago I was taking my first ride on my then new to me spyder (though it snowed later) and this year I peek out my office door and see.....
March 4 snow depth outside shop.jpg

Global cooling would be worse. We can adapt to the coastlines flooding easier than cities buried in one mile of ice. I do remember much more snow in the 70's.

Still plenty of snow here in NW Iowa. Just came in from running the snowblower to remove snow that blew into the drive last night. Sub zero this morning. Temps have been well below average so far. More snow than we have had in awhile. Snowmobilers are very happy. It looks like it will be early April before things improve enough to ride.

Sure doesn't bode well for the people along the Mississippi when it starts melting. It's already at flood stage at New Orleans. The Bonnet Carrie Spillway is open to move water into Lake Pontchartrain, and there's talk of opening up the Morganza Spillway. The latter would flood thousands of acres of farm and suburban ground in Louisiana.

Mother Nature sure has given the lower 48 a ride this year. And now, we have tornado season upon us.

One of the first things we will do if we move, will be to put in a tornado shelter if there is not one already.

Next atmospheric river has made its start here too, rain 3 of the next 5 days. Don’t know what it will be like by the time it gets to the Midwest and east. 3 years ago the reservoirs were so low that houseboats were beached and there was a fire sale on the things. The ring around Lake Shasta and every other reservoir was 30 feet high. I should have bought a weekender houseboat when I had the chance!

Well here in Vermont we still have a lot of snow on the ground( roughly 2 feet in the valleys, and more in the mountains) with ice underneath the snow. The skiers and snowmobilers are in there glory.
Now it is lightly snowing. Also the maple sugar season has not started yet.

So and this weekend an other messy storm coming in the temps in the 30's/ 40's and rain. Next week it will start to warm up!

Oh old man winter is really throwing us a curve here in the northeast.
Last year at this time I was racking some of my lawn.

Also I have 5 weeks until my spyder is out of hibernation, I hope by then the White Gold ( snow) will be gone :gaah:

Well, today it's 50F. Still can't ride till the salt is off the road. I hope my sentence will be reprieved some time next week.

March Ride

Yesterday it was finally 50°F in the fair state of Indiana. So I enjoyed the Spyder time. Have fun and Always RYDE SAFE .
