Yes horrible ….. Last year at Spyderfest I was down near Peel's ferry when out of the blue a wild turkey hit me on me right shoulder - Thank God I was on my RT ….. almost took me out …… :lecturef_smilie::roflblack:...…...Mike hyea:

We had a member in here take a turkey to her shoulder a bunch of year's ago. As I recall the story: I believe that it cost her some time in a cast for the injuries.

Yep. She was riding biatch on an RT. The driver ducked and she took full impact in the chest and shoulder. Can't remember names.

Hello All Turkey Slayer here...that would have been my head and shoulder. Full face helmet protected me from serious injury and yes the Driver did duck! The only warning I got was NO NO NO NO than bam. I was watching the second turkey running at the road and never saw the first one.

I've been hit by a yellow jacket bumble bee directly into my forehead while riding a motorcycle at 65 mph (no helmet) , it was really painful causing a lump on my forehead. I've know of several bike riders in Central Ohio that have been hit by a deer riding to work in the early morning hours--all of them were hospital bound. One guy had a part of his scalp torn off by an eagle while on a riding lawn mower. It's difficult to plan evasion from some of these:bdh:

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Memories of my rides into Ohio from Indiana. Used to love to go there since I was less than 30 miles from the border. Riding in the country and enjoying all those farm smells.

One day...Was riding my 750 Hondamatic. Very hot and humid. Minimum of gear in those days. Left the denim overjacket open. Drove through a swarm of bees. A whole bunch of them ended up down my t-shirt. I had to quickly pull over and start pounding on my chest to kill as many as I could. Got a lot of them, but still got a lot of stings. Thankfully, I am not allergic to bee stings. Since that time, the collars are always buttoned up. Fortunately none ended up in my open face helmet. :thumbup:

I've been hit in the forehead by a yellow Jack bumblebee at 65 mph--the bee was probable doing 40+ mph====Painful :-( That's why a helmet shield or protective glasses are important ....

I was about a 1/4 mile behind a guy on a Harley near my house when a bird hit him in the chest. We were doing about 40 mph and all I saw was this explosion of feathers and him hitting the brakes. He pulled over and was fine but said it hurt like heck - and he needed to change his undershorts.
