• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

As many of you may know I don't really do Christmas, but for those of you that celebrate
Christmas or an equivalent festive event at this time of year may I wish a very happy one.

It's a little bitter-sweet for me this year as both my health and my finances are dwindling.
My year old F3T has to go. Don't want to sell it......but it's necessary.

Prayers from across the pond. Be strong. Sorry health issues are hitting and the financial dragon is biting. Keep your chin up. Find joy and life in the little things that can never be stolen from us.

Geoff,
I hope that you are able to enjoy the Holidays with your Family.
I'm sorry to hear that your bike has to go... I know EXACTLY how that feels! nojoke
Hang in there, and don't EVER give up!
2019 will be a better year for all of us...

Regardless of what holiday(s) and/or event(s) you celebrate, I would like to offer my wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

So sorry to hear about your struggles of late. Know that you don't have to "do" Christmas to have some blessings sent your way.......soooo, I wish you better health and a prosperous New Year. May they both bring a smile to your face and strength to your heart.

Oh no.....

Do hope you have a happy holiday celebration and your health starts improving. All the best

It’s great to see you are still here on SL’s, and I hope your health and finances improve for 2019. I do miss the pictures that you post, and videos. Wishing you the best in whatever you celebrate, and I sure do enjoy the BBC (iplayer) programming.

seasons greetings to all

Geoff,

Thanks for your warm wishes. So very sorry to hear of your declining health; here are my good thoughts for you and that you can enjoy your life in the future.

Thank You for your well wishes OJ UK, I wish the same for you and that things begin to improve for you. May you fall in the fountain of youth with the winning lottery ticket in your hand.

p5.peugeot-rcz-diesel-coupe.jpg Well, you all know me well enough to suspect that the Spyder will not be replaced!
So I sold my car and this is the new toy! ( Click on the pic!)
You could say that it's a poor man's Porsche! 2 liter diesel 165bhp and quick. It has light gray leather seats and more gadgets than you can throw a stick at!
Thank you all for your kind wishes, I'll do my best to enjoy better health.
The last surgery (Laparotomy) was tough and I was in Intensive care for ten days so I'm told. That IV morphine is a real buzz especially as you can hit a button for more!
Three weeks later when I was thrown out of the hospital I had a Colostomy so a life changing event. The scars are kinda cute though!!

Geoff,

My 2019 be happy, healthy!
Don't be a stranger on this site.

Happy Holidays!

Yeah, it's because the British have a long history of tradition! It is possible that the custom of driving on the left dates back to pre-history and may later have been used as an early road safety measure. At a time when the main danger on the roads was mugging, careful travellers would pass on-coming strangers on the left with their sword arm towards the passer-by.

The keep left rule did not become law in Britain until the increase in horse traffic made some sort of enforcement essential. Before this, the drivers of coaches leaving London for the country simply chose the firmest part of the road. The main dates for the introduction of the legal requirement to keep left are:

1756 – London Bridge
1772 – Towns in Scotland
1835 – All roads in Great Britain and Ireland

Funnily enough it was Napoleon who championed driving on the right in Europe, but then again, ultimately he was a bit of a loser!
