• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tires General Altimax Opservation

FAREWELL POST

He has? I don't find any posts from him saying he was going to. Maybe he's just taking a hiatus for awhile.
Actually I did post a Goodbye thread …. It lasted about 2 hrs, and was yanked by an Administrator or some one who knows how to do it ….. Mike

LoggerHeads

Glad to see you posting again, even if we are at loggerheads some of the time! :banghead: :)
…. I think that's too strong a term …. we have our dis-agreements … but have always been CIVIL about it … I have always been a FIRM believer in " everyone is entitled to their opinion " ….However I draw the line at personal attacks, just because one doesn't agree with someone's Opinion..... Personally I think I have been the MOST mis-quoted member on this Forum. But those people need to do this because they actually have NO argument to prove their opinion is valid.... I try to pass on what I BELIEVE is factual info, that is based on education and training in the Accident Investigation field ( a large portion dealing with tires )……. Mike

" Tire science proof " - Peter Aawen and I have posted thousands of words on this subject. I'm sorry but I don't have a couple of days to RE-TYPE all that info.....It's all been said at least a couple of times ...... The info is still here, try search or go to Peter's Threads / posts and read the ones that apply ...... I can only use TWO fingers and I still make lots of typo's, so it takes me a long time to post a lot of verbiage ........ Mike

I find the info helpful and I trust his experience. It works for me. If you think it's too low go for a ride and feel the tire, if just warm to the touch it is right, if hot it is too low.....
