Hi Deanna, it has the possibility of being a record. The record year was 2015, the first year we were an owner event with 354 registered and this year as of now we are at 310 with 2 weeks to go. Looks real close, Thanks, Ron

Time is getting short. If you are still interested in registering for SpyderQuest 2018, please be sure to get your form in the mail within the next week. We will not be picking up mail after 8/28/18 and at that point you will need to bring your form with you. Most rides/events still have room.

I downloaded the form, I’m going to fill it out today and put in the mail tomorrow. I live on LI so shouldn’t take long to receive. I’m just deciding on rides etc.
I’m really looking forward to it. Hardest part of traveling from LI is getting off the island, so I’m booking the ferry to Bridgeport then heading up to LG. Gonna be a fun ride up!

Ferry from Port Jeff to Bridgeport is $58 for car + driver. Motorcycle is $30. That is the funny thing w the Spyder. NYS considers it a motorcycle (need class “M” license) but I’ve heard of ferry’s trying to charge Spyders as cars....
I’m going to Shelter Island w my wife on Thursday (10 min ferry ride) so I’ll let u know how they “view” the Spyder. Should be interesting. Lol

Ferry from Port Jeff to Bridgeport is $58 for car + driver. Motorcycle is $30. That is the funny thing w the Spyder. NYS considers it a motorcycle (need class “M” license) but I’ve heard of ferry’s trying to charge Spyders as cars....

:yes:...:banghead: The problem is I'll bet the Ferry is privately owned so they can do whatever they want .... I've had some toll issues on the NYS thruway..... My pick-up has a flat-bed on it ( No trk bed ) I have a large metal " Camper style " box bolted to the bed ..... It is classified the same as any other pick-up with a Slide-in camper in the box, but I've had Toll takers try and charge triple ( Comm. Box truck classification ) .... if my argument doesn't sway them ...I shut my motor off and demand to speak to a supervisor ..... this had worked except for one time ....the toll taker got reemed for Her error :roflblack: :roflblack:...Rules are rules and if you know them they can't screw you .......Mike :thumbup:

Lol Mike. I went on the Shelter Island feerry, they charged me motorcycle rates. On Thursday I’m gonna try to take the 9:00 from PJ to Bridgeport, I called ferry, they said no reservation required for motorcycle. So I’ll go a bit early and wait in motorcycle line. I’ve learned sometimes it’s better to “ beg for forgiveness than ask for permission “. Lol. They charge one price for motorcycle and different price for motorcycle w sidecar, still bit cheaper than car.

Spyder Fest

My wife and I had a great time at the Spyder Fest in Lake George N.Y. While this was our first one we have booked it again for next year.

We have a meeting this coming sunday to start planning for next year. Cant wait to do it all over again.
