• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is this to lean???

I noticed the other day that my chrome exhaust pipe connecting to my TB muffler is turning yellow. This started after I installed the Juice Box. the bike pulls all the way across the board. Am I running to lean with the setting I have? I don't have a air box anymore. Just a red foam sponge filter and a new fuel something. Can't remember what it is called. Old age:roflblack: But it's for performance. If it is lean. I don't want to try riding to Gatlinburg with it like that. :chat:

Unfortunately, the only way I know for sure as to whether my bike is running lean is to pull a plug and look at it.

Others may chime in with alternate ideas.

:agree: Pipes will turn color with overly rich conditions, too. IMO, yellow is more an indicator of rich (often with the addition of an exhaust leak), and blue is lean, but there are exceptions and chrome reacts differently than stainless. Pull the plugs to be sure.

This "seasoning of a stainless steel exhaust pipe" is not a factor of too rich or too lean.

The Two Bros pipe is not chrome but is stainless steel just like our 90 elbow, and just like the header pipes on your Spyder are. If you remove some panels you will see that not only are these pipes yellow, but are most likely almost turned brown by now.

All stainless pipes will turn yellow to brownish when run on a bike and have heat like the type found in an exhaust systems put to it. But they can be brought back to shine like new if you polish them often and don't let the yellow turn to brown.

This is "normal" for stainless steel and can tell you nothing about your jetting whatsoever.

Anybody who trys to change their jetting based on how the outside of their exhaust looks is asking for problems big time.

You need to check your plugs and see what they look like.

Since the Spyder has an oxygen sensor, why can't we measure voltage from the sensor to determine mixture?

Most sensors follow the standards and air/fuel ratio as a function of sensor voltage is published for at least the standard, if not for most individual units. For those with fuel map controllers, this could give immediate feedback to changes you have programmed.

Examples of typical O2 sensor signals:

Thanks for the help.:2thumbs: I'll pull the plugs and check this weekend. As far as the S/S pipe goes. I'll buff it and watch it a little closer in the future. I can handle it running a little rich. Just as long as it doesn't burn my eyes or smell to much when idling.
