Wax

That is a mistake. I would never use ANY of the products that are only available online. The waxes and polishes from the big brands in stores, are tested and guaranteed not to harm your paint. The stuff you buy online is only backed by HYPE, and inflated prices. There is no way I would put someone's snake oil on my paint. When it messes up your paint, then what? There is no company to contact in most cases, or they blame it on you. If your paying $20, $30, or more for a spray bottle of car wax/polish online, then your getting taken. And if it says Harley-Davidson, Honda, or any store's name on the bottle, then its just a re-bottled cheaper polish/wax with an inflated price.

to each his own, but "a spray bottle of car wax"? seriously? wow....

Turtle wax Ice spray wax is one of the highest rated spray waxes. Not only is it easy to use, but I have noticed that it repels dust also. I have recently ridden 400 miles since applying it and the bike shows no signs of dust on it anywhere. If you want a paste wax, then Mother's Carnauba Cleaner wax provides and incredible shine, but dont get it on textured plastic. It does attract dust though, so your beautiful shine is short lived. If money is no object, then Pinnacle carnauba wax is the top performer, but also attract dust. Yes, wax can come in a spray. ICE is a synthetic car wax/polish, but works fantastic. Watch the youtube tests for the wax you are considering. Some of the tests are real eye openers:yikes:

How do you like the stuff? There have been some good reviews and a lot of talk about it on the internet.

I love it. I Use it on lot of things, including Spyders and tonneau cover. (instead of tonneau tonic from Extang) Only drawback, it washes off with water..... but it is an excellent uv blocker. Tonneau cover lasted 7 years, and dash of truck like new after 12 years.

I have it saved in my Ebay account for the next time I buy something.

agree with this type of spray. Use it all the time.

I use Turtle wax ICE spray. It can be used on ANY part of the bike. It lasts for up to a year. Watch the tests on Youtube. Beautiful shine! Removes bugs. Wont turn your textured plastic white. Easy to carry with you on the spyder. Actually works better than Mother's Detail Spray, which surprised me. Comparable to Top Coat F11. No residue if you miss wiping some off. ICE is my favorite HANDS DOWN! Many Harley owners have used it for years. Once I tried it, I was hooked. Available everywhere too!

Every time I wipe the Spyder down, I can't believe how easy this product makes it. Many times I can just use a damp micro cloth with fresh spray on it, in one hand and a dry one in the other, and take off all bugs, sap, etc., and the re-polish is just like the first time I ever put it on !! Tried other brands but this seems best for me.

+1 on Turtle Wax ICE spray

Based on this thread and Joel's impassioned endorsement of Turtle Wax ICE spray, I gave it a try last weekend and I now understand why he's so emphatic. It really worked -- I hadn't washed my bike in the 9 months I've owned it other than when Mother Nature did it for me, but after a wash and a single application of ICE, it looks like new and the shine is really deep and has held up nicely after a week of commuting. Easy to use and effective...:bowdown:

I been using just a spray on wash and wax, but only after giving the bike a good wash with soap and water.
But last week i ordered some ceramic coat product which has done wonders to the cars and bikes that I have seen. It seems to last for 2-5 years. Not too sure about that, but with my bike being garaged all the time, I think 2-3 is doable.

Another winner

Plexus spray is awesome on all the plastic, windshield, face shield etc...
I am an advanced amateur Detailer and this stuff really cleans and shines and repels dust and dirt... I love it!!
